Masashi Ushijima
Born on June 19
Height 171cm
Born in Tokyo, Japan.
USHI has been playing drums since 12 years old.
After moving to the U.S. in 2004, he studied at Berklee College of Music under Rod Morgenstein, Larry Finn, Mike Mangini, and others, and completed his major in Performance.
Meanwhile, joined Nili Brosh band and recorded an album “Through the Looking Glass” with the female guitarist Nili Brosh.
After returning to Japan, he worked with Kensaku Kishida, ATOMIC SEVEN and KENSAKU KISHIDA en V, and became a member of MU and VORCHAOS in 2012.
At the same time, he has worked as a tour manager and interpreter for international artists touring in Japan. (The Cab, Forever the Sickest Kids, Electric Callboy, Manafest, Hopes Die Last, etc.)
He participated in one song as a drummer in the tour final of Forever the Sickest Kids.
Currently, as a drummer, he is active in a wide range of activities, including live performances and recordings for major artists, of genre from blues to metal.
He will be playing for KAMIJO Europa Tour 2024 “The Anthem” in 2024 summer.
He is also available providing advice for drum parts of your songs, with drums lessons.

12歳でドラムに出会う。
2004年渡米後、バークリー音楽院に留学、Rod Morgenstein、Larry Finn、Mike Manginiらに師事し、Performance majorを修了。
同時に Nili Brosh bandに参加し、アルバム”Through the Looking Glass” をレコーディングし、リリース。
帰国後、日本国内にて岸田健作とATOMIC SEVEN、KENSAKU KISHIDA en Vなどを経て2012年よりMU、VORCHAOSにてメンバーとして活動を開始する。
VORCHAOSでは2017年にKING RECORDSよりメジャーデビュー。同時にツアーマネジャー/通訳として国際的なアーティストの日本ツアーに帯同。(The Cab, Forever the Sickest Kids, Electric Callboy, Manafest, Hopes Die Lastなど) Forever the Sickest Kidsのツアーファイナルではドラマーとして1曲参加。
2024年夏にKAMIJO (Versailles) のKAMIJO Europa Tour 2024 “The Anthem” にドラマーとして参加。
現在、ドラマーとしてはブルースからメタルまでジャンルにとらわれないプレイでメジャーなアーティストのライブ、レコーディング等幅広く活動中。
